WHEN MISTAKES ARE ALLOWED TO SPEAK
Shaping an error culture of as a leadership responsibility
In this module, we explore how leaders shape the way mistakes are handled within their teams and how their behavior determines whether problems are raised early or hidden because of fear, shame or uncertainty.
You’ll learn why a constructive error culture doesn’t mean ignoring mistakes or giving up accountability and clear boundaries. Instead, it requires distinguishing between unintentional mistakes, structural inefficiencies, and deliberate rule violations and responding to each in an appropriate and fair way.
We’ll look at the emotional and physical reactions mistakes can trigger, how psychological safety enables learning and why mistakes alone do not automatically lead to improvement. You’ll discover how your first response as a leader, objective root-cause analysis, structured learning processes and practical tools can help create a culture that is both open and accountable.
The module also explores how the growing use of artificial intelligence is changing the way organizations deal with errors and what new responsibilities remain firmly in human hands.
